 Simple Cross-Browser getElement Function description

This function will encapsulate the process of creating an object reference to an HTML element on your page. There are two versions of the function below: New-age browsers and older browsers. New age browsers are browsers compatible with Netscape/Mozilla 5+ and Internet Explorer 4+. Older browsers add to the compatibility Netscape 4. (Recently tested with Firebird and newer Mozilla browsers, works fine!)
