Abax Web Server Status description
This is a web server status checking script, called using a simple image tag embedded within a web page. It can be setup to check multiple / individual web pages, web servers or domains. If the script finds the web server is serving http requests it will display a 'live' image. Very useful if you want visitors to a gateway / portal page to be able to check which of your mirror web sites are active. In this release I've added security features, this stops the script being abused, Server Status now only requests the first 6000 bytes of a target web page. Other minor issues corrected.Related scripts
Use this script to analyse sendmail logfiles created by the syslog daemon. It was tested with SuSE Linux. The generated report is available in HTML and ASCII format (useful if this class is included into a script that you run from the command line).

Automatically backup any server to a remote location. Software runs as root so SQL databases and system files can also be backed up. Schedule multiple backups to run from several servers. When local backup is complete, remote server logs in to fetch zipped archive.
