ShareNet is a web based application which runs on your local PC, giving you a feature rich environment for accessing the Internet, creating content, and sharing your experiences with friends.

ShareNet's main goal is to provide a collaborative environment where internet content can easily accessed, and shared with your friends.


Internet Shortcuts (Favorites/Bookmarks)
Synchronize and organize all your Internet Shortcuts and display them on your home page. Open individual shortcuts, or a group of shortcuts, with a single click. Customised views provides intelligent filtering, either by recently visited or newly added.

Chats
Create and maintain your own personal chats, which can then be shared with your friends. Each time you add a new chat, an automatic alert is sent to all friends letting them know you have new content. Chats can include formated text, as well as pictures.

Downloads
ShareNet is able to monitor a folder you nominate, so your friends are able to see what you're currently downloading from the Internet. Configure your scan interval for once per day, or multiple times per hour, and filter the types of files you wish to be displayed.

Friends
By granting a Friend access you your ShareNet site, they can see and contribute to your content. They will be able to view and launch your Internet shortcuts, see what you're currently downloading from the Internet, and contribute to any chats you've created.

Alerts
Automatic alerts are sent to all your friends, under the following conditions:

You synchronize your favorites
You add a new chat
A comment is added to a chat


Search Bar
A configurable search bar gives you quick access to searching your favorite Internet sites. Search results can be displayed embedded within your Sharenet Site, or opened in a new window.
