Dicm File-Set scans the selected folder and presents each dataset in a convenient view. Datasets can be filtered by study, series, patient ID or modality. When the desired file-set is filtered, Dicm File-Set copies the datasets to a user selectable folder and creates a dicomdir file-set directory.When the file-set creation is complete , the dicomdir file-set directory is ready to be copied with any Windows CD-ROM creator application. Dicm File-Set can also open dicomdir file-set directories in several formats for easy study and analysis.How to Create a File-set:Select the File-Set Write Tab. Select the desired folder to scan for DICOM datasets. Do not forget to include subfolders if the entire folder structure is desired. Click the ?Start? button. Dicm File-Set will scan all the files in the folder. When scanning is complete, click the right mouse button over the dataset list to filter the file-set. When you have filtered the file-set, select the ?Copy file-set to folder? option then click the ?Create file-set? button. Dicm File-Set will copy the file-set to the selected folder and create a dicomdir file-set directory file. If you want to create a local dicomdir file-set do not select the ?Copy file-set to folder? option. Dicm File-Set will create a local dicomdir file-set and place it in the currently selected folderDicm File-Set can also organize your DICOM datasets by patient ID. Filter your desired file-set and select ?Use instance in file-set copy?. The file-set will be copied to the target folder and organized by patient ID.
