App Killer is a powerful, easy-to-use add-on for Windows. It allows you to selectively kill programs and processes. The App Killer log will let you know which programs terminated cleanly, which ones won't close willingly, and can force these programs to close after a user-specified waiting period.App Killer is "User Profile" aware. Each user can have their own default options and settings, or App Killer can be configured to have all users use the same settings.Do you need to automatically kill one program before running another one? App Killer can help.HOW DOES IT WORK?Run App Killer and you will see a listing of all currently running applications and processes, similar to the Task Manager. You can then drag and drop any of these programs and processes into the "Kill Set" area. Each item in the Kill Set can be individually configured to:* Wait for a number of seconds to allow the program to finish or in case a user response is required.* If it doesn't close by the specified time, you can either force it to terminate or just ignore it.* Decide if you want to continue killing the rest of the set if this program didn't end.* Kill just one particular instance of an application or every running instance of it.The pre-defined Kill Sets can be either killed immediately or saved so that they can be used at a later time.If you want to run App Killer from another program, you can pass command line parameters to instruct it to kill a specific program, load and kill a saved set, kill all running apps, kill all running processes and apps (except for Windows processes), and override default settings.Using a log created by App Killer will allow you to diagnose problems that may be caused by unruly applications.
