AxEval Expression Evaluator ActiveX Control description
The AxEval (v 1.0) ActiveX Control to allow you to calculate mathematical expression evaluation into your programs. For example, using these routines you can evaluate such expressions as: 1+1

As you can see, it supports variable assignments and referencing, as well as functions. Variable and function names are not limited to in length.
